Our Team

The clinic was established 1998 by Jane Dent.

Jane qualified in London from the British School of Osteopathy in 1988, having completed four-year full-time course. She worked in another practice in Whitley Bay before setting up the Whitley Bay Osteopathic Centre.

Having attended school in Durham, Jane wanted to bring her skills back to the North East. Most of the training colleges are in the south, and most graduates stay there, leaving the North East poorly provided for.

Martin Grundy graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003. For Martin the move to osteopathy represented a career change, after working for 20 years in the metals industry. He escaped from London and moved to the North East in 2004 - and has no intention of leaving!
